As far as her demon heritage, the Tulivari are a creation of my own brain on high levels of caffeine and lack of sleep. They're similar to the Japanese cat-like Neko demon, but more from a Cult of Bast/Egyptian origin. Full blooded Tulivari are considered direct agents of the PTB( Otherwise known as the Powers That Be) , and are coldly neutral. They help balance the scales of power, either for good or evil. Full bloods take a humanoid cat-form, complete with brightly colored fur and cat-like features, but are capable of appearing mostly human if the need arises. Half blood Tulivari are no where near as powerful. All in all, the blood line, when mixed with human DNA, thins greatly, and only grants the half blood child occasional bursts of strength and speed, and a greater aptitude toward the mystic arts. Physically, a half blood can go their entire life without ever showing signs of the mixed heritage. Occasionally, like Al, when a half blood draws on their power, they may, briefly take on a more feline appearance-i.e. Cat-like eyes, or claws. Regardless, Al is less than thrilled with her mixed heritage, and does all she can to hide it and keep it a secret.
